This is your reality: You need to work all day, study at night and get lost in the middle of so many activities. Don’t know how to study efficiently, how to organize yourself and are you always very tired?
I have separated for you three of my best tips for being able to work during the day, study at night and learn with quality to pass exams. These are three basic and practical tips to start seeing results today.
Before passing on the tips, it is important that you understand one piece of information first.
The basis for being able to reconcile your work and study routine
In order for you to really be able to work and study, there are two fundamental pillars: organization and motivation.
Many people have different tasks, they often get lost and are unable to maintain a study routine, which is why organization is essential. I’m not talking about something boring or rigid here, but having a clear idea of when to study, work, spend time with your family, etc.
Another fundamental pillar is motivation. You need clear reasons to dedicate yourself, otherwise you will end up getting discouraged, which is why the question I ask today is:
– What are your reasons for studying, passing this test, competition or college?
Answer this question clearly and always keep this in mind. This reason will serve as fuel to stay dedicated to your studies. Now let’s go to the first tip.
Tip 1 – Prioritize studies
When we need to work and study, it’s easy to stop studying to solve something else or simply rest. I’m not saying that you don’t deserve rest, but you need to think about one thing: “will resting help you pass that test?”
Therefore, prioritize your studies, that is, put them first. Before resting, finish the studies you had planned for the day. If someone asks you to do something and you haven’t studied yet, study first before leaving.
Only when you prioritize your studies will you begin to form the necessary habit to learn the content.
Tip 2 – Have a routine
It is very important to establish a routine to be able to study daily. A good routine helps you maintain your daily study habit, as well as preventing you from getting lost or failing to study for the day.
Let’s look at an example of a routine that you can use every night when you get home from work.
- Arrive home
- Take a shower
- Eat a light snack
- Rest 30 minutes (without TV and social media)
- Start studying
That’s it, you’ve just established a routine that will help you continue studying daily. What you need is the discipline to keep this flowing daily until it becomes a habit.
Tip 3 – Enjoy the weekend
When you need to work and study, the weekend is a great time to catch up on things, however, many people make mistakes when doing this because they forget to put into practice tip 1 – prioritize.
Therefore, leave just one day on the weekend to study, when I was at college I left Saturday morning. So, I stayed from 7 to 12 studying, then I was free.
I recommend that you choose the best day, which will have focus, make the most of this day, catch up on materials, review and do some reading. Okay, by doing this you can keep the learning flowing.
Conclusion
I hope these three tips I just gave you help you manage to work and study. Remember that you will need to be organized, motivated and, above all, prioritize your studies.
As a last piece of advice, whenever you feel discouraged, remember your reasons and use them as an incentive to dedicate yourself, if you use this you will always be able to maintain your study habit and do well in your exams.
